Halloween is finally almost here. It is one of our favorite holidays and we are excited to decorate and hand out lots of candy. Hilloween is at Eastern Market tonight. It is always a fun time for the little ones, and we are glad the tradition is back.
We are seeing a lot of people asking on various social media and list serves when trick-or-treating takes place. In DC, it is on the actual Halloween day. You can start seeing the little ones out around 5:30 and things are done by 8:30. There is a map on Next Door where you can see who has marked that they are giving out candy. The Mac house is on that map. Mom will be dressed as a witch (again), handing out candy in our graveyard.
Once Halloween is done, we will quickly be switching our focus to the winter holiday. We will keep you updated on the cool activities that are available. Some will be a little farther from home but will be worth the drive.
Today we will tell you all about the DC Winter Lantern Festival. There are codes for up to 40% off of your tickets and it looks like a fun new event in our area. Our family is really looking forward to this one and we hope you will be there too.
