Safety First

August 18, 2022

Last night, there was a quick crazy storm. One of our windows wasn’t latched properly, blew open, and broke a glass bowl on mom’s makeup table. Both dad and the kid were really scared and mom was at her day job knowing nothing about what was going on. The kid felt very unsafe even though it was no big deal. Just a little water and some broken glass.

Safety seems to be a theme this week as we hear about back-to-school safety. Watch for kids walking, look for busses, and similar messaging seems to be everywhere as we creep closer to the first day of school.

This week we will tell you about the very first days of safety for our kids. When the kid was born, she was early so we had not yet purchased a car seat. Dad and grandpa installed the car seat while mom and the kid were in the hospital. Our car seat check showed that they almost had it right but made some adjustments.

This week we will tell you about where you can go to get your car seat checked too.

Hugs and love,

Chris and Anita
