We had a rainy spell where it felt like it would never stop raining. It was great for our little herb garden and now we have plants growing like crazy. However, our whole family was itching to go outside. We love spending time at our fire pit or at the park.
The kid was begging to make Jiffy Pop on the fire. It does still exist and it doesn’t taste as good as microwave or air pop corn but it is so fun to make. With just a couple of weeks of school left, the rain is gone but it is suddenly hot.
We are so fortunate the city has free spray parks and outdoor pools to help beat this hot streak. Last year we told you all about Turkey Thicket Rec Center and Joseph Cole Community Center. Today we will give you the run down on all of the spray parks and pools in our neighborhood and when you can visit them.
