If your family is like ours, the early months of the year are a time for belt tightening. We feel a little poorer after the holidays and we always make a new year’s resolution to do better with our finances than we have the year before.
It is also really cold outside and each week’s forecast seems to include snow. This may be the most days of snow that the kid has ever seen in one month. It is a good time to stay in the house and cuddle up with a book on those dreary days. On the nice days, sometimes we can’t get out of the house fast enough.
We have one place, or rather a network of places that can provide your smallest kids with free books, your bigger kids books to borrow, free classes for the whole family, fun activities often at no cost, and even homework help. That place is the DC library system.
Our libraries are some of the best in the country. This week, we will highlight everything that the libraries have to offer. If you haven’t had a chance to check out all that you can do, you are sure to be amazed.
Happy reading (and crafting, and watching, and everything else you can do at the library virtual or in person).
Hugs and Love,
Chris and Anita
