Happy Holidays! The holiday season is now in full swing. We’ve got our tree up and our halls decked. Well, mostly. We still have some decorations to put up. We also all looked at our tree and exclaimed, “I didn’t think that it was that short.” Mom has looked at holiday photos and it really does appear that short in all the photos. Our theory is that every year we say that we will get a new one at the end of the season and then never actually do that. So, we have a short tree that Mac Kid worked really hard to decorate and that makes it perfect. She did most of the decorating. It may not be exactly how mom would have done it and the Christmas village may look like a strip mall but it was just so warming to see how much she enjoyed doing it her way. It also took many more hours than seemed necessary but we are often told that we will miss these days and we know it is true.
We also hear often about the magic of Christmas. Mom has been trying very hard to make that happen but she got a big help this week. We have been on the waitlist for a Blue Collar Cat since 2019. A couple of weeks ago, we found out that we would be getting a cat soon. Last week, we heard from them that we needed to be ready for the cat very soon. Yesterday, we got a call that the cats are coming on December 20. That is right, cats! There is a pair of cats that are bonded and can’t be separated so they are both coming to live with our family and they are coming on the first day of Christmas break. Mac Kid doesn’t know but we know that she will be over the moon when she finds out.
We hope that your Christmas is as magical as ours is turning out to be and we help that you also get help to make it happen.
Hugs and Love,
Chris and Anita
