Mac Kid loves pie. She asks for pie almost every day. In fact, if we would allow her, she would eat pie for every meal. And she could do just that at the Pie Shop on H Street, except for Monday and Tuesday when they are closed.
From noon to midnight, or 11:00 PM on Sunday, you can head to the Pie Shop and enjoy their wide variety of pies. We walked up one Wednesday night after sports practice. Mac Kid and mom each had a slice of quiche, Dad had the SMOG, and we all walked away almost too full to enjoy dessert but we carried on. We each had a slice of dessert pie, except for Mac Kid and she had two slices. They were each so good that we immediately started planning for our next visit. There are a lot of choices so it will take many visits to be able to try them all. We recommend having the pies heated and then enjoying them right away.
The Pie Shop is an independent women-owned business. They have been around since 2010 but rebranded in 2020. We have been enjoying their pies since they opened and their key lime pie was one of mom’s cravings when she was pregnant with the kid. Their look may have changed but their pies are just as delicious as they were in 2010.
You can get a whole pie or just a slice. They are even open on Thanksgiving if you want a slice all to yourself away from the family or if you happen to burn your pie.
