Kids Learn a Language for Science

Contribute to Science and Get Paid

By Anita November 11, 2021

Georgetown University wants to learn more about why children are so good at learning a new language. To do this, their Learning and Development Lab is conducting a study.

They will use simple games and activities to understand how children learn. They need paid volunteers between the ages of 4-9 to learn a made-up language called SillySpeak. They will do this via one or two 30-minute Zoom sessions. Each session pays $10 and can even be done during the evening or on a weekend.

You can learn more about this study by completing the survey at https://redcap.georgetown.edu/redcap/surveys/index.php?s=ELMPDRN3J3 or by emailing learninglab@georgetown.edu.

The end goal is to get a deeper understanding of how children with language delays and disorders can be identified and supported.

We plan to enroll Mac Kid in this study. She will be able to play a part in helping other kids and earn a few dollars to buy her friends Christmas presents.
