This week is full of surprises. Surprises are so fun! One of our favorite things is for Mac Kid to make a creation and then present it to us with a big smiling yell of SURPRISE! She also sometimes treats us with surprises of cleaning her room or getting school work done without asking. Kid and Mom also surprised Dad with this week’s craft. He wondered why we would ask Mac Grandma to save the bottles from coffee flavoring and ice cream buckets and we were saving empty jars. Our neighborhood is also full of surprises. We share a few of those this week as we discovered a book full of Washington Secrets (mostly the good kind of secrets) and found a rooftop farm in walking distance from our house that has a rooster and chickens. This week, just like many others, we said, “wow, I didn’t know that was there.” Last week, the Arboretum was full of them. If you know of others, we would love to hear from you.
